Lotus Homagama is situated in Homagama (18 km away from colombo) and offers a peaceful stay while being situated very close to the southern expressway entrance, given the strategic advantage of travel to Colombo, Battaramulla (via inner circular highway), Rathnapura (city of gems) , Nuwara Eliya and Galle, Hambantota (southern coast) via the A4/A7 and train and expressway. Homagama is a small town which is still transitioning from Village and many hallmarks of the traditional village can still be seen unlike in Colombo city, where still a rambling walk can be made through paddy fields and lush greenery.
Lotus Homagama is a heritage property with a very large garden with great views of the Homagama paddy fields. Although it is located in middle of Homagama town, one can still enjoy the authentic village life at our villa. the village people, who live nearby, are always smiling and polite, Sri Lankan traditional meals available just outside the villa, which can be a bit spicy! or sweet. One can enjoy the garden which boast of over 120 varieties of tropical plants, with birds and nature and this is a lovely place for kids and adults to play as well as your pets.
Lotus Heritage is furnished in traditional heritage style furniture, however all modern amenities such as hot water, LED lighting, home theater, TV, free wifi and DVD library, cable TV, air conditioning, Gourmet teas and coffees are offered as well as a barbeque. A modern as well as traditional both kitchens available with water dispenser. also a closed well is available if a guest is inclined for an open air bath!! we believe in sustainable energy, solar power and well water used. our villa style is comfortable, homely and spacious while minimalist. the property boundaries are monitered via CCTV and the parapet walls and gates ensure a secure and peaceful getaway for you.
Neighborhood info Homagama Purana Vihara is the ancient temple of Homagama and is a few hundred years old. it is situated maybe 50 meters from our villa, the elephants of the temple used to stay in our land in earlier times when there were temple processions. Now this does not happen. The market or Pola is situated about 400 meters from our villa, where you can buy food items, fresh fruits and vegetables which are locally sourced and organic. The mini market placed in middle of paddy field is open from 6am to 11pm so any grocery needs can be catered to easily. also, there are two locations right opposite the villa, which provide traditional Sri Lankan food.
About Lotus Ceylon We love to see our guests enjoy our property which has been in the family for over a 100 years! the gardens and the remaining are part of the heritage of Homagama. Few roads have been made now from original property. The garden and the views are beautiful and renews one.
